Ms. Paulina Skerman, Headmistress
An Invitation from the Headmistress
Deciding upon the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. At Marymount, academic excellence begins at the age of two and accompanies every child to graduation. Our curriculum is aligned across every division, so that skills build year upon year without gaps or repetition.
As a Catholic school inspired by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, everything we do flows from one simple, powerful goal: “That all may have life, and have it to the full.”
Our Catholic identity is the foundation of our community, and it is a faith that opens doors rather than closing them. Today we welcome families of 18 different faiths and more than 90 nationalities, and every one of them is received with the same respect and warmth.
Guided by 170 specialist faculty and a faculty to student ratio of 1 to 6, every child at Marymount is known, supported and stretched. I would be honored to welcome you to our campus to see this for yourself.

Academic Excellence at Every Age
An 80 Year Legacy
Founded in 1946 as Italy's first international school, Marymount has guided generations of families for eight decades. Inspired by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, our tradition gives students deep roots and the confidence to look boldly toward the future.
Excellence from Early Childhood to Graduation
Our curriculum is aligned from age 2 to Grade 12, so that every year builds purposefully upon the last. With the IB Diploma offered since 1985, Advanced Placement courses, and a faculty to student ratio of 1 to 6, our students achieve results well above international averages and go on to the world's leading universities.
A 40 Acre Campus for Learning
Set within the protected parkland of Veio Park, just 20 minutes from the center of Rome, our campus offers an inspiring environment for study and discovery. From the Forest School to our playing fields and classrooms, students learn in a setting of rare beauty, calm and space.
