JuniOrchestra
Marymount's JuniOrchestra program in partnership with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia is a wonderful opportunity for students in Grades 4 through 8 with prior or no experience in playing orchestra instruments to discover and grow their musical passion!
An exceptional team of professional musicians from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, one of the oldest and most prestigious music institutions in the world, along with our own faculty provide our students with a weekly two-hour music workshop featuring one hour of Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion labs and one hour plenary as an orchestra.
All the students enrolling in JuniOrchestra commit to taking individual lessons to develop instrumental technique. This can be done in school through our Private Music Lessons Program, off campus in music schools, or through private lessons at home. This will ensure a more ensemble-focused approach during the JuniOrchestra rehearsals.
The final JuniOrchestra performance is held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
