Digital Citizenship

Online Safety and Digital Citizenship have been a recent area of focus for our Middle and Elementary School students in order to help provide them with the tools for happy, healthy, safe and successful learning, both online and offline.

With the increase in online learning modes our Middle School students engaged in Online Safety workshops offered by our Technology team in order to better understand issues including remote access, online gaming, how to avoid online conflict and fake accounts, how to choose strong passwords, installing software programs and more.

Students in the Elementary School's IT classes have been studying Digital Citizenship, learning about and discussing the importance of finding a healthy balance in their use of technology, as well as the difference between private and personal information.

Here is a video using the coding app ScratchJr made by one of our 4th Graders to show their learning.
