Marymount offers its students a delicious, balanced, highly nutritious and healthy lunch which draws inspiration from the Mediterranean diet for which Italy is famous. Lunch is universally offered on a complimentary basis to all students, faculty and staff by the School, as it is intended to be a moment of sharing and bonding within the school community. A typical lunch consists in a daily option of pasta and rice that may be eaten plain with extra virgin olive oil or with a light tomato sauce, meat or fish, fruits and vegetables in addition to a salad bar and a selection of healthy sandwiches with whole-grain bread options. The kitchen uses many organic ingredients (i.e. the pasta, the home-made bread) and extra virgin olive oil.
Students with allergies are carefully monitored by the School Nurse, and special lunch options are made readily available to those with gluten, lactose and any other food intolerance. The kitchen is a completely peanut-free environment.
Menus may vary according to seasonal products.
