Lunch
Marymount offers its students a nutritious, healthy, balanced lunch using solely organic, local ("Km zero" within a 70 KM radius from the School) produce (including vegetables, fruit, grains, fish, eggs, butter, cheese) and meat which is ethically-raised. The menu draws inspiration from the Mediterranean diet for which Italy is famous.
Lunch is an integral part of our overall educational offering to all students. Marymount also has a plastic-free policy whereby students and staff bring their own water bottles that may be filled at the numerous water fountains located around the campus.
The dining room includes live-cooking stations with grilled meat, fish and cheese options, a wok station, an extensive salad buffet, first and main course areas (that include vegan and vegetarian options), healthy sandwiches, freshly-squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, and a pizza oven featuring home-made bread and pizzas.
A typical lunch consists in a daily option of pasta and rice that may be eaten plain with extra virgin olive oil or with a light tomato sauce, meat or fish, and fruit.
Students with allergies are carefully monitored by the School Nurse, and special lunch options are made readily available to those with gluten, lactose and any other food intolerance. The kitchen and campus is a completely nut-free environment.
